Apple's iPhone 4 is one of the best-selling smartphones on the market.

The introduction of smartphones has given consumers the ability to do things with a cell phone that were previously unimaginable. Browsing the Internet, checking social networking sites and downloading applications are now commonplace in the realm of cell phones. Some smartphones, however, possess features that push them ahead of the pack and give them a spot as one of the top ten smartphones available (in no particular order).

iPhone 4

Apple's iPhone 4 is an iOS-based phone available on both the AT&T and Verizon networks. The device features a Retina display the presents images at a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels, a front and rear facing camera, 720p HD video recording capability and either a 16 GB or 32 GB hard drive. The iPhone also includes a host of other features and access to Apple's iPhone App Store.

Droid X

The Droid X is an Android-based smartphone available on Verizon's network that features a 4.3-inch screen. The device allows users to record 720p HD video and output the video to a computer monitor or television through the device's HDMI output port. The Droid X comes with a 16 GB microSD card pre-installed that can be upgraded to 32 GB.

HTC EVO 4G

The HTC EVO 4G is an Android-based smartphone with a 4.3-inch display available on Sprint's network. The phone features an 8.0-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.
