Google to launch its first tablet next year

Apple’s biggest rival Google is trying to make things worse for Apple. Apple’s sales has shown big downfall since the launch of Android and now Android now rules the market with more than 51% of total smart phone share. Google’s chairman Eric Schmidt has revealed than Google is planning to to launch its Android tablet in the next six month. This was expected from Google since the acquisition of Motorola for $12.5 billion.
In the words to Eric Schmidt” In the next six months we plan to market a tablet of the highest quality” Eric told an Italian newspaper.
Google has already has a hand in the development of the Motorola Tablet-Motorola Xoom. But the tablet market is purely dominated by iPad and apart from Amazon’s Kindle no one has been able to offer some competition to iPad.
In the interview with the Newspaper Eric paid tribute to Steve Jobs telling that ”Steve Jobs was the Michelangelo of our time.A friend of mine and a unique character, able to combine creativity and visionary genious with an extraordinary engineering ability.”He further added ”Steve realized the revolutionary potential of the tablet and created an amazing product like the iPad.”He also said that in the upcoming time the competition between the Android smartphones and iPhone will be brutal.
It will be interesting to see iPad3 and Google Tablet go head on head next year as Icecream Sandwich now is also having an effective voice commanding feature like SIRI which is quite fast and accurate.
