Top 5 smartphones of 2011

The world is getting smarter so are the phones. Everyyear companies come with a smartphone that has something unique about it. There are a lot of smartphones that fit the pocket of every user.In Asian countries you have to pay high to get these phones as compared to European and American countries where people get a deal with their service provider. But nevertheless people buy these phones and get addicted to it. Well this is quite obvious because of the millions of awesome apps and games available on these phones. Whether you talk about Android devices, Apple devices, Blackberry or Windows powered devices, the phones are loaded with some freaking awesome apps. In the huge crowd of smartphones it is difficult to pick the best 5.But still here is a list of Top5 phones that I think are smarter than others-
1. Samsung Galaxy Nexus-This is the first phone to get an Icecream Sandwich upgrade.Nexus comes with at a price of $300 with two year contract. It is having a 4.65 inches of Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels having a pixel density of 315 pixels per inch which is quite satisfactory. The phone is extremely fast due to 1.2GHz OMAP 4460 processor. It is having a RAM of 1GB with 16 or 32GB of internal memory. It comes with a 5MP camera which can record videos at 1080p full HD. Camera handles motion very well and it is having a lot of filters to give you the best results. It is definitely the best smartphone, you can buy and ICS in it tastes fabulous. But unfortunately you won’t be able to use Swype in it as ICS doesn’t support it but inbuilt voice commanding system in ICS is comparable to SIRI.
2. Samsung Galaxy S2-This is another great phone from Samsung. It comes with a display of 4.52 inches. The phone is having a Super AMOLED plus display better than nexus but with a resolution of 480x800 this phone disappoints a bit. The phone comes with 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 fast enough to complement the phone. It is a dual camera phone with 8MP primary camera and 2MP secondary camera for video calling. With primary camera you can take pics at 3264x2448 pixels and it allows you to take full HD videos 1080p with 30fps.The battery life in it is really very impressive. Currently it is powered by Gingerbread but it will soon get ICS upgrade.
3. Apple iPhone 4S-There was a lot of buzz in the market regarding the launch of iPhone5 but apple launched iPhone4S before it. People were disappointed hearing the launch of iPhone4S not iPhone5.But still it is a record breaking phone thanks to SIRI which proved to be a game changer. It is having 3.5 inches LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 640x960 which is better than Galaxy S2.It is having a RAM of 512 MB which is a downside for the phone. iPhone 4S runs iOS 5.iPhone 4S is also loaded with 8MP camera and 1080p full HD video recording. The secondary camera is VGA(disappointing). The processor is 1 GHz cortex A9 compared with 1.2 GHz of galaxy S2 and Nexus. The battery in it 1432 mAh Li-Po giving a talktime of 14 hr on 2G and 8 hr on 3G.

4. HTC Evo 3D-First and foremost, the Evo 3D is a gorgeous phone. Its display is a 4.3-inch 3D touchscreen with a sheet of Gorilla Glass for added toughness. One of the most important features of the Evo 3D is, of course, its 3D display. The phone uses parallax barriers to display 3D images and video, without the need for clunky 3D glasses (similar to the concept used on the Nintendo 3DS). The Evo 3D's 4.3-inch qHD 960-by-540-pixel screen looks terrific in 2D--and pretty good in 3D, as well. Let me be clear, however: This isn't the kind of 3D you'd see at the movie theater. Images aren't exactly flying in your face. Rather, it looks like you can peer into the phone much like a diorama.
You need to maintain an absolute dead-on viewing angle to properly appreciate the third dimension, though. The Evo 3D is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The Snapdragon processor supports advanced 3D technology, including full 1080p 30-frames-per-second HD video and stereoscopic 3D video capture and playback.
5. Motorola Droid Razr-The list can’t be completed without this great phone. The phone comes at a price of $300 with two year contract. It is having 4.3 inches display. The back is made of Kevlar which is 5 times stronger than steel making this phone the toughest smartphone ever. The phone comes with Super AMOLED plus display with 960x540 pixel resolution. The phone is loaded with 8MP camera allows you to record at 1080p full HD videos and 1.3MP secondary camera. It is having 1.2 GHz processor and running on Gingerbread. It is a great smartphone overall despite its poor battery performance.
